Bearded dragons are one of the most appropriate lizards to have as a pet. These lizards come alive during the day as opposed to other variations like Leopard geckoes, which are nocturnal. Although dragons spend much of their time basking in the heat, they can be surprisingly active and very interesting to watch.

They begin lives extremely small however grow in size at a very fast rate. It takes roughly 2 years to become fully-grown but during the first few months, you will witness them growing before your eyes. They can live up to about 10 years however if you are looking into breading them, you will only achieve this for the first 3 years of their lives.
